The Miracle Morning
S.A.V.E.R.S. is the core of Hal Elrod's The Miracle Morning. It's six morning practices, meant to be done in whatever order/duration you like (the book suggests you can do the whole set in as little as ~6 minutes, one minute each, or stretch to an hour):
- S — Silence: Purposeful quiet — meditation, prayer, deep breathing, or gratitude. Sets a calm, focused tone instead of waking up reactive.
- A — Affirmations: Statements of who you want to be and what you're committed to, read/spoken to reinforce mindset and motivation.
- V — Visualization: Mentally rehearse your goals and the person you need to become to achieve them — picturing both the outcome and the process.
- E — Exercise: A few minutes of movement to boost energy, alertness, and health.
- R — Reading: Read something educational/inspirational (personal development, a skill), even a few pages, to keep learning.
- S — Scribing: Journaling — writing down thoughts, gratitude, priorities, wins, or reflections.
The underlying idea: dedicate time each morning to develop yourself across mind, body, emotion, and spirit, so you show up as a stronger version of yourself for the rest of the day.
In Almanac, there is a built-in checklist goal card based on this method.
