I got to run at 23:30 yesterday
I went running at 23:30 yesterday.
I couldn’t do it yesterday morning because I didn’t have enough time. It was the day I returned from the 12-day intensive dance training programme, DARC. After the celebration party for the programme’s final show, I got back to the hotel around 4 a.m. I slept very lightly for just under 2 hours and caught my train at 8 a.m. I decided to do it after returning to Paris.
Once I got home, I did a lot of different things: put things away, grocery shopping, cleaning, cooking, and some work. I was so exhausted that I took two naps. But my body was still in a sluggish state. Time went by so quickly that I still hadn’t gone running until late in the evening.
Timing is important, because the later it gets, the more you start hesitating.
But I couldn’t accept the image of my calendar with a hole in it, so I put on my sports shorts and shoes, stopped thinking, and just went out. It was 23:30.
Since creating my goal card 60 days ago, I haven’t missed a single day. Every action I take, even a small one, shapes my identity. I don’t want to be the kind of person who tolerates exceptions or easily compromises when conditions change. This is about much more than just running.
